Mall Walking

Active Aging Canada has developed a mall walking program entitled, Mall Movers, with funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The research confirms the benefits of physical activity for optimal aging and helping older adults remain independent.

The Mall Movers program encourages participants to walk the mall every day and join in the free stretch and strength class offered one day a week. The mall provides a safe, barrier free environment for the walkers and the class is led by a certified fitness instructor. For more information on the program go to Get Active - Mall Walking Page.
