Active Aging Canada is pleased to be part of the national advisory committee for a CIHR funded project called AAIMS. The goal of the project is to increase access to effective, evidence-based exercise program focused on reducing falls in aging Canadians. One of the first steps of AAIMS is to identify why certain segments of the population do not participate in falls prevention programs.
One of the project activities is conducting a survey to learn how to make fall prevention programs more inclusive for Black older adults. Researchers are looking for Black individuals aged 50 years and older to take part in a survey.
